Freelance Community Supporter-Chinese Speaking

PokerStrategy is the world's leading poker school and community. As a Freelance Community Supporter, you will be working from home to support our growing online Chinese-speaking community. You will form a vital part of our team and endeavour to provide excellent customer support to our members through a variety of channels. We are looking for a person who has Customer Service mentality and is also passionate about Social Media and forum communities.



Your profile

  • Know how to listen and respond to queries in a helpful and professional manner
  • Possess excellent written communication skills
  • Willingness to participate in building a strong forum community
  • Understand and value good customer service including ‘going the extra mile’
  • Fluent in English
  • May have experience of working within customer service
  • Are smart, resourceful and a fast learner
  • Enjoy being part of a team, whilst also having the ability to perform under your own drive and ambition
  • Experience in PR or Marketing projects would be advantageous
  • Good knowledge of poker and the poker market in China would be advantageous
  • Experience as a news writer or translator would be advantageous
The challenge

As a Freelance Community Supporter, you have two key areas of responsibility:
1. Forum Moderation 2. Customer Service

1. Forum Moderator

As a Forum Moderator, you are responsible for our public forum, where you:
  • Monitor our forums and address customer issues proactively
  • Moderate our forums so that they are a friendly and helpful place
  • Moderate and answer news' comments
  • Come up with new ideas and topics for discussions
  • Ensure there is a very good coverage for both service and moderation for our forums
  • Act as an escalation point for moderators to address questions internally
  • Find and train voluntary moderators
  • Act as a role model for voluntary moderators, showing exemplary work
2. Customer Service

When providing customer service, you:

  • Ensure all customer inquiries are dealt with as quickly as possible whilst on duty
  • Ensure assigned language queues (ticket and email) are cleared at all times
  • Ensure information provided to customers is always up-to-date and of a high quality and your individual monthly Ticket QA scores meet our high standards
