Call For Entries: The New Media Writing Prize 2013

Deadline: 25th November 2013

The prize encourages and promotes the best in new media writing, and is leading the way toward the future
of the 'written' word and storytelling. In the past three years the NMWP has attracted entries from the very best and most innovative writers in the field.

We are now accepting entries for the 2013 prize: the closing date is Monday November 25th at 12 noon GMT. Closing date for students is Friday December 13th at 12 noon GMT.

 About the Competition

There are three categories/prizes -

Overall Winner: £1000 donated by if:book UK
Student Winner: a 3-month work placement at leading e-learning company Unicorn Training, in Dorset, UK. The winner will be paid £250 a week. The timing of the placement will be negotiated between the winner and Unicorn.
People's Choice: voted for by the public, prize of £250

There will also be substantial media coverage of the Award, and winners will be given full acknowledgement in all press releases and related material.

Who Can Apply?


Anyone can apply! Whether you’re a student, a professional, an artist, a writer, a Flash designer or an enthusiast, the competition is open to all. It's also an international competition, open to all outside the UK.

Each entry should be submitted by email to submissions@newmediawritingprize.co.uk by Monday November 25th at 12 noon GMT. Closing date for students is Friday December 13th at 12 noon GMT.
Each emailed entry should contain an active URL for the judges to access your work. However if your entry is for viewing on a mobile phone or other electronic device, please provide clear instructions on how to view your piece.
It is important that you read and understand the Competition Rules. Your entry will be disqualified if you do not comply with these Rules.
