Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology,Russia is inviting applications for MSc fellowship.

The Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) is a private graduate research university in Skolkovo, Russia, a suburb of Moscow.
Established in 2011 in collaboration with MIT, Skoltech educates global leaders in innovation, advances scientific knowledge, and fosters new technologies to address critical issues facing Russia and the world. Applying international research and educational models, the university concentrates on five strategic areas: Biomedicine, Energy, Information Technology, Nuclear Science and Technology, and Space Science and Technology.
For every admitted MSc student, Skoltech will provide an internationally competitive fellowship including a tuition waiver, subsidized housing, an assistantship and medical insurance.
Both Russian and international students are eligible to apply for this fellowship.

Fellowships and Funding

For every admitted Ph.D. student, Skoltech will provide an internationally competitive fellowship, including a tuition waiver, subsidized housing, an assistantship, and medical insurance. Admissions Process and Requirements
Admission to Skoltech is a competitive two-stage process. In the first stage, prospective students submit an online application, including information on:
  • Educational background
  • Official transcripts
  • Personal statement
  • Letters of recommendation,
  • Results of an official English-language test (TOEFL or IELTS)
From the pool of online applications, the Selection Committee invites semi-finalists to a “Selection Weekend” for two days of group activities (science, engineering, technology, and design challenges) and interviews.
Applications are welcomed from students in the final year of an undergraduate program, or from those who have already attained a Bachelor’s of Science degree or higher.
Applicants should have received training in fields relevant to Skoltech’s five M.Sc. Programs, including:
  • Computer science, computer engineering, computational mathematics, applied math and science, electrical engineering, informatics, etc.
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology, molecular biology, bioengineering, biochemistry, biophysics, bioinformatics
  • Materials science
  • Aerospace science and engineering
  • Nuclear science and technology
Students from undergraduate programs in the humanities or social sciences should have significant training in a field related to one of Skoltech’s programs.
