£3,000 Fee Waiver
Eligibility
Students must qualify for EU fee status, be joining
undergraduate full-time programmes from the academic year 2012/13
onwards, and have a family income level validated by Student Finance
England as below £25,000.
If you are eligible for an NHS bursary you will not
receive the financial element of the First-Generation Scholars scheme
package.
Procedure
Students wishing to be considered for the National Scholarship Programme should contact:
EU Customer Services Team at Student Loans Company, PO Box 89 Darlington, County Durham, England, United Kingdom, DL1 9AZ.
If you are using the free phone in the Stduent Life Centre ask for the EU Customer Service Team.
Please note that this process depends on you
agreeing to share your family income information with the University,
at the time you apply for government student support.
In March all students who are eligible for the award
will be contacted by the Student Funding Team, and the fee waiver will
be applied from that point.
Timetable
March 2015: Students eligible for the award will be notified and the fee waiver applied.
Students whose household income is assessed after this date will be conacted by email when the award is made.
