Calling all dreamers and world-changers: Do you have an amazing idea that has the potential to transform lives? GOOD and Blake Mycoskie, founder of TOMS
and the Start Something That Matters Foundation, have teamed up to help
budding social entrepreneurs like you launch an idea with the power to
change the world for good. We know that when it comes to bringing a
dream to life, it can take a lot more than passion and a brilliant idea:
you need a little financial support too. We’re proud to announce the
Start Something That Matters Challenge, which will award $50,000 to help
one enterprising individual launch his or her plan for driving social
impact.
If you’re a passionate, dedicated individual with a genius idea to tackle some of the world’s most pressing challenges, we want to hear from you. Submit to the Start Something That Matters Challenge for a chance to win help from GOOD and Blake to launch an innovative solution that can drive the world forward.
Submissions are open from April 22 to May 17, noon Pacific Time. The chosen idea will be selected based on its potential for driving positive impact, its ability to be realized, and its viability for ongoing success to fuel positive change.

Submission tips:
- Include a photo or video that represents your idea. Photos should be in JPG, PNG, or GIF format, at least 570 × 345 pixels and no larger than 10MB. To include a video, use a YouTube URL

Rules & Regulations
- This Challenge is open for submissions from April 22 noon PT to May 17 noon PT.
- Only U.S.-based individuals who are 18 and over are eligible to apply.
- A panel of judges will select the top submissions.
- The selected projects will be featured on this page and public voting will be open from May 29 noon PT to June 12 noon PT.
- The winning project will be determined through a combination of judging and community voting. The winner will receive a $50,000 grant to start a social enterprise
- In order to vote, log in with your GOOD account. If you don’t have a GOOD account, it’s free to join. All you need is an email address or a Facebook account to register. You will be emailed a link that you need to click in order to validate your address.
