The Job:
The Shutdown Planner will conduct core shut down activities by supporting the Shutdown Manager through material procurement planning, resource mobilization, cost follow-up, update planning, regular liaisons with all departments, ensuring proper certifications and authorisations from proper authorities, valuation of estimated duration and estimated costs, and valuation with other departments of estimated planning for Shut Down and follow up.
They will also collect the schedules from the different shut down stakeholders, organise and participate in the regular schedule review meetings to review planning and progress related issues, identify critical paths, prepare trend analyses and propose rescheduling, and will track issues which can impact the scheduling. The Shutdown Planner will prepare for future upgrades of the planning process, prepare the regular status Shut Down reports for the Shutdown Manager, and will also prepare the specific reports requested by the Shutdown Manager on various matters. They will assist in the preparation of any presentation as required, will identify critical paths analyses and propose rescheduling when necessary, and will track issues which can impact the scheduling.

The successful applicant will have a very good knowledge and experience of Shut Down activities, with a good experience in the Oil and Gas industry, in productions, operations or project management. They will have excellent organisational and communication skills, and have excellent experience on Primavera software.

Offshore Planning Supervisor

Job Description:
NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and direct staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the Oil Gas Industry. Our client, a leading exploration and production oil and gas operator, have an opportunity for an Offshore Planning Supervisor to work on a contract basis, in Lagos, Nigeria.
The Offshore Planning Supervisor will review and analyse contractors scheduling and planning documents, will monitor progress and control Project activities, identify potential delays, analysing and issuing proposed corrective actions as required, and will prepare the Project Planning documents. They will prepare the weekly report, elaborate the monthly progress report, liaise with cost controller to define progress measurement, and will file the planning related documents according the document filing system.

The successful applicant will have a very good knowledge of project planning practices and PRIMAVERA, a vast experience in large oil and gas projects with strong technical, analytical and interpersonal skills, and will have excellent command of written and spoken English.
