We are an NGO with a sole aim to develop sustainable, African-led and scalable leadership and sustainable development programmes, building and enhancing an established track record of more than 20 years in delivery, with a fresh focus on life-long learning, governance, social entrepreneurship, and sustainability, in partnership with its strategic partners. The Program targets outstanding professionals, gender balanced, and mixed from business, government, NGO’s, academia and media, with focus on enhancing personal development on leadership capacity with a focus on sustainable development.

 

Reports to: the Regional Program Director

Responsibilities:

• Effective Programme development, proposal development, and outreach implementation;
• Ensures that the recruitment activities attract high quality future leaders on target;
• Ensures the training programme is effectively delivered according to plans and approaches adopted by the Board;
• Ensures timely project planning, and supports the delivery of specific projects in the organization, backed with adequate reporting activities;
• Supports the delivery of the Anglophone West Africa Secretariat activities;
• Participates in meetings and aids the implementation of agreed actions;

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Development related fields from a recognised university, Environmental Sciences will be strong advantage;
• Min of 5 years post qualification work experience, out of which three years in organizing and facilitating training/workshops; with good exposures to program development, programme outreach and campaigns 
• Capable of coordinating multiple projects,
• Good knowledge of sustainability issues in the African context
• Strong information and communications technology skills via multiple web programs including -  social media marketing and communication –blogs, Facebook and web content editing etc.
• Excellent communication  and interpersonal skills with international and local expert staff ( good team player and reporting skills)
• Must be able to initiate and support the development of new projects; backed by strong information and communications technology skills. 
• Networking exposure at the national level, preferably in an international organization and/or a non-governmental organization will be advantageous
• Demonstrable program reporting and documentation experience and other networking activities are important.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
• Fluency in English (Must have a minimum of 6 credits including high credits in English in WAEC or NECO)
• Pro-active and flexible
